Undercover Agent to stand at Klawervlei Stud

G1 winning UNDERCOVER AGENT, owned by Braam van Huyssteen and Greg Bortz, heads to Klawervlei stud after the  KZN racing season:  

'The motto ‘you can’t have enough of a good thing’ certainly rings true, as Klawervlei Stud will add a third Gr.1-winning son of its former Champion Captain Al to its stallion roster for the 2019 breeding season.

Undercover Agent, a close fourth in last weekend’s Gr.1 Tsogo Sun Sprint, will join champion sprinter Captain Of All and Cape Guineas winner William Longsword at the Bonnievale nursery. Effective from 1200m to 1600m, this fine sprinter miler scored a career-defining win in last season’s Gr.1 Gold Challenge by defeating Gr.1 winners SnowdanceSail South and Captain America. Also successful in the Gr.3 Byerley Turk and the rich CTS 1600 at three, he most recently won the Gr.2 Drill Hall Stakes in his penultimate start.

Connections indicated the big bay will defend his Gold Challenge crown on June 8th and is likely to close out his career in the July 27th Gr.1 Champions Cup, where he will attempt to go one better on his second place of 12 months ago.

Bred at Moutonshoek, Undercover Agent is out of Winter Oaks victress Secret Risk (London News) and boasts a pedigree free ofNorthern Dancer and Mr Prospector in the first five removes.Undercover Agent will be syndicated, with shareholders entitled to two services per year for the first four years.'
